Is this the fastest Gaming Laptop available? Could it possibly beat out Alienware's M17x and Sager's NP9280?

The alienware has got 2 gtx 280 and the fastest SSD's available @ this time(even faster then the x25). The heating problems are completely gone because of the build of the case. But id like to see them go into a fight. I was bummed the m17x didnt come with the i7 because the release was almost the same day as the mobile core i7. They must have got there reason not to do so. Don't forget the extreme quadcore on the m17x can be overclocked.

That definitely sounds impressive, but are you sure heating problem is completely fixed?

Heres what solved the problems: both gtx 280 are @ the back of the laptop, one in each corner so the heat doesnt affect the rest of the components and can make it's way to the outside way better. There's really a lot of vents. the design of the bottom of the case is build so that the air can slide in @ the sides of the notebook and go out the back. the cas itself is annodisez alluminum so that's a very cold metal. That's what i learned so far. no ive heard from really alot of people on youtube that came in contact with a fully maxed out m17x and they told me the problems where completely gone. I dont have mine yet but im sure if there was still a problem it wouldve come up already. The design is perfect, they set a new standard in my opinion.

Agree. Even the XPS series now has built in overclocking controls in the system setup menus. The days of desktop guys complaining that laptops can't safely overclock are behind us.

I completely agree. Safe overclocking is easy and functional in latest Lappys. A friend who's got a latest alienware lappy often overclocks before starting High-Res games.

Im hoping oled touchpad. Like they build some new keyboards now. But then the touchpad. Think of what purposes it can have while you game. You dont use the touchpad then so it can be a anything from a d-pad to a color picker in photoshop.

If you want a gaming desktop, my best advice would be that you get an ultra-portable like an HP dm1z or a Lenovo X120e. The reason for that is that they're inexpensive and give good computing capability. The Radeon HD 6310 on both is almost the same speed as a GeForce 320M and much faster than the GMA 4500MHD IGP on other ultra-portables. The AMD E-350 is almost as fast as a Pentium/Core 2 Duo CULV, but much faster than an Atom.

    hope u like it..
    thanks...
